Mumbai, March 9: Actor Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava has surpassed the Rs 500 crore mark at the Indian box office, as per estimates. Directed by Laxman Utekar and based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the film achieved this remarkable feat in just 23 days, becoming the first movie of 2025 to reach this milestone.
Reacting to the film’s success, Vicky Kaushal expressed his gratitude to his fans on social media, writing, "Thank you for your immense love."
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the achievement, sharing the box office figures online. He wrote, "500 NOT OUT... Chhaava joins the elite Rs 500 cr Club [on Day 22], standing tall among some of the biggest blockbusters in recent times."
He also pointed out that the film's Telugu version, released three weeks after the Hindi version, opened strong and further boosted its national appeal.
With this milestone, Chhaava has become Vicky Kaushal’s highest-grossing film, surpassing the earnings of his previous hits like Uri: The Surgical Strike, Raazi, Sam Bahadur, and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
