Bhubaneswar: After missing the first match due to knee injury, now Virat Kohli is fully fit to play the second ODI against England at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday.

India's batting coach Sitanshu Kotak confirmed his availability in the pre match press meet at Cuttack on Saturday said "Kohli is fit, yes, he is practicing with us today, he is good to go."

Kohli spent some quality hours at the nets with the squad, watched by a more than 10,000 crowd at Barabati Stadium. He began with short sprints, without any strapping on his legs, moving with ease and he also batted in the nets and without any discomfort in his footwork.

Kohli had suffered swelling on his right knee while training a day before the series opener in Nagpur. He was replaced in the XI by Shreyas Iyer.

Talking about the recent batting performance of the team coach Kotak expressed “we are having a very strong batting line up. Though sometimes we lost wickets in quick intervals, but nothing to worry about, it's part of the game. In third and fourth place Shreyas Iyar and Axar Patel had got a good score in the last match. Looking forward to the average score of the Barabati ground we are expecting a high scoring match”.

Almost after a gap of five years the Barabati Stadium is going to host a One-Day International match. Massive crowd turned out during the practice season today, showing the interest of the people for Sunday's game.

“The Barabati ground seems to be batsman friendly and the spectators here are crazy about cricket and their support will motivate us”, added Kotak.
