Bhubaneswar: In a big developement in Baba Siddique shooting down case, the country’s premier investigating agency – National Investigating Agency (NIA) – has offered a Rs 10 lakh prize money for information about the whereabouts of Anmol Bishnoi – brother of dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

He has been wanted in Siddu Mosewala murder case and Salman Kha nHouse firing case. Punjab police have declared him an absconder in the high profile case. Mumbai police mentioned his name as a key conspirator in its chargesheet on Salman Khan House firing case.

WHY JACKPOT ON ANMOL BISHNOI?

The latest initiative taken by NIA comes after Mumbai police probing the Baba Siddique shooting case stumbled upon the direct links the shooters had with Anmol Bishnoi.

As per ANI quoted crime branch report,“The three suspected shooters who committed the murder had talked to Anmol Bishnoi through an instant messaging app (Snapchat) before the murder. Anmol was in contact with the accused from Canada and America; four mobile phones have also been seized from the accused.”  

The statement added that the accused were in touch with each other through Snapchat, and after receiving the instruction message, they would delete it immediately. Similarly, when the snapchat of the arrested accused was closely examined, it was found that the shooters and Praveen Lonkar were directly in touch with Anmol Bishnoi.

ANMOL BISHNOI – LAWRENCE’S BROTHER IN ‘ARMS’

Twenty five year old Anmol Bishnoi is convent educated but a college dropout. Anmol is a professional boxer. This pugilist dropped out of the college he enrolled in at Mount Abu in Rajasthan, only to join the gangster world run by his brother Lawrence Bishnoi.


HOW ANMOL JUMPED INTO CRIME WORLD?  

March 5, 2015: Brother Lawrence Bishnoi and his chief aides arrested near India-Pakistan border. Vaccum built up in the crime world lorded over by Lawrence Bishnoi. Getting a call to lead, Anmol Bishnoi formed a youthful gang by recruiting teenagers from Abohar, Punjab. Soon after, the new gang planned and executed armed heists and extortions.

Within 4 months, the gang attained notoriety. Punjab police arrested Anmol and his associates Sachin Thapan, Ankit Bhadoo, Ankit Jakhar, Arzoo Thalour, Praveen Gogi and Vikram. During the arrests in Jully 2015, police confiscated 6 homemade .12bore revolvers, two .315 bore pistols, two .32 bore pistols, one 1.2 double barred shotgun (this firearm can fire simultaneously or sequentially in quick succession)  and Rs 1.75 lakhs.

YEAR 2020 

This year Rajasthan police imprisoned Anmol Bishnoi for placing a extortion call to one Mukhtar , a phone dealer, demanding Rs 10 lakhs on July 4, 2020.

The Rajasthan police had then presented the crime sheet of Anmol Bishnoi, in just 5 years into the crime and gangster world. As per Rajasthan police, a total of 12 chargesheets filed in Rajasthan and Punjab against Anmol Bishnoi with charges like murder, attempted murder and ransom.  

KEY CONSPIRATOR IN SALMAN KHAN FIRING CASE

Anmol has been named as the key conspirator in Salman Khan House firing case. The Mumbai Police in its chargesheet had stated that it is Anmol Bishnoi who delivered a 9 minute long inspiring address to the two shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal. He exhorted them by calling them come out successfully and make history. He inspired them to do the crime for the cause of society (Bishnoi).

ANMOL BISHNOI’S LOCATION

As per police information, he was out in bail in 2021. Police report finds him fleeing the country with afake passport using fake name Bhanu Pratap. Police searched his location in Kenya in 2023. His last search was traced to Canada and America. Now NIA has taken up the matter and connecting the dots to nab the elusive brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
