Bhubaneswar, March 14: Temperature continued to rise across Odisha with 11 places recording 40 Degree Celsius and above today.
Jharsuguda recorded the highest temperature of 41.8 Degree C in the state, informed the Bhubaneswar met centre.
Industrial town Angul recorded second highest temperature of 41.1 Degree Celsius while 41 Degree C was registered at Balangir and Titlagarh.
Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Hirakud, Bhawanipatna, Sonepur, Boudh and Bhadrak recorded the maximum temperature between 40 Degree C and 41 Degree C on Friday.
P aralakhemundi, Dhenkanal and Rourkela recorded the maximum temperature between 39 Degree C and 40 Degree C.
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted severe heat wave conditions across several districts in Odisha from March 14 to 18, prompting the issuance of a yellow warning.
Citizens are urged to stay alert and take necessary precautions due to the extreme temperatures.
