Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: A total of 27 students, including 4 female candidates of World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar have been selected to work in Emrill in the UAE. These students appeared for a special placement drive conducted by the World Skill Center.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik extended his best wishes to the students of the World Skill Center and congratulated them on their success. He mentioned in a social media post that through the 'Skilled in Odisha' programme, the state government of Odisha is striving for the development of youth potential and employment opportunities in the state. He added that their success is a testament to the effectiveness of the program.
Out of the selected candidates, 11 are from mechanical and electrical services, 8 are from electrical technology, 2 from air conditioning and refrigeration, and 4 from mechatronics.
In recent weeks, several companies, both national and international, have been coming to the World Skill Center for campus placement drives. This initiative by the Odisha state government and the World Skill Center has provided job opportunities to a total of 110 students in various reputed companies around the world.
The World Skill Center, a premier skill development facility of the country created under the ‘Skilled In Odisha’ vision of Govt of Odisha, offers 7 advanced one-year programs under its two departments, the School of Engineering and the School of Services.
