Puri, Nov 15: In view of hassle free darshan of the Trinity, all four gates(Dwaras) of Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri is going to be left open for the devotees from tomorrow.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has issued notification in this connection on Friday.
Through a communication released by the SJTA, it was announced that devotees will be allowed to enter the Srimandir through all four gates from November 16.
It was resolved at a meeting chaired by Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee on Thursday wherein ease darshan for the visitors was emphasized following the Kartika rituals. The meeting was attended by the Puri District Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain, Superintendent of Police with other allied officials.
According to the decisions, entry of devotees will be allowed through all the dwaras where there exit will be through three gates, excluding the Singha Dwar (Lion Gate).Thus, exit is strictly prohibited through the main gate of the temple.
For the servitors and their family members, they can enter and exit through all the four gates for their convenience.
Worth mentioning, the Simhadwara (Lion Gate), Ashwadwara (Horse Gate), Vyaghradwara (Tiger Gate), and Hastidwara (Elephant Gate) – located on the four sides of the temple will be left opened from tomorrow morning.
Three doors were shut during the Covid-19 pandemic which was later opened after the swearing in ceremony of the BJP government.
