62nd National Maritime Day was celebrated at PPA in the Wet Basin of the PPA’s Marine Site office, where, Shri P.L.Haranadh, Chairman, PPA graced the occasion as Chief Guest. At the meeting, Shri Haranadh spoke at length about the innovative & business strategy of Team Paradip, which enabled PPA to achieve No. 1 position among Indian Major Ports. Though the Port is susceptible to market conditions, unlike others, the entire martime sector is looking towards PPA as a role model. Highlighting green shipping initiative of PPA, he said that for green tug implementation, the tender will be ready very soon. Implementation of shore to ship electricity supply at PPA is progressing well. Capt. Atulya Kumar Mohapatra, Ex-Dy. Conservator, PPA was felicitated on the occasion for his tireless service and stellar contribution to the Indian Maritime Industry. Coinciding with the observations of National Maritime Day competitions like swimming, heaving line throw and rope climbing were held.
