Bhubaneswar, January 29: The Higher Education Department of Odisha withheld the salaries of principals of 63 non-government-aided degree colleges across as many as six districts for incomplete CAPA (College Accounts Portal Application) compliance.
The account section of the higher education department has issued letter to the defaulter principals on Wednesday.
“It is now decided that your salary for the month of January 2025 onwards is withheld until compliance by you.”, read the letter.
According to the letter, the Higher Education Department had asked the principals to update college accounts for the 2024-25 academic year in the CAPA portal. However, the principals failed to meet the deadline.
As per the intimation, salaries of 11 principals in Jajpur district, 8 in Khordha, 8 in Ganjam, 5 in Jagatsinghpur,5 in the Cuttack and Balasore each, and 3 in Puri, have been hold for the month of January 2025.
