Bhubaneswar: Local boy Aahaan Mishra won both the singles title of Boys U16 and Boys U18 in the Major Sandeep Mohapatra Memorial KDTA AITA Championship Series (CS7) U-16 and U-18 Tennis Tournament held at Kalinga Stadium from 18-22 November, being organised by Khordha District Tennis Association with the support of Odisha Tennis Association (OTA).
Altogether 55 participants from 10 states (West Bengal, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and host Odisha were participated in the five-day long tournament.
The winner and runners up of this tournament will get 25 and 20 AITA ranking points respectively. Madhu Sudan Padhi, President, KDTA distributed the trophies to the finalists in presence of the KDTA secretary Asit Pradhan, KDTA vice president Damodar Pradhani and tournament referee Jatin Batsya.

In Boys U16 Singles final Aahaan Mishra (OD) defeated Nallagundla Parthiv from Telangana by 6-2,6-1
In Boys U18 Singles final Aahaan Mishra (OD) defeated Md Aariz Khan from Chhattisgarh by 6-0,6-2
In Boys U18 Doubles final Aditya Bikram Acharya (OD) and his partner Nihaar Suresh Kumar from Karnataka defeated Aahaan Mishra (OD) & his partner Sutavya Karmakar (OD) by 6-4,6-2
In Girls U16 Singles final Sanrachana Das (OD) defeated seed No. 2 Jemima Rebecca John from Tamil Nadu by 7-5,6-7(4),6-1. It was a well fought final.
