Bhubaneswar: The deep voice of Ajay Devgn works wonder in intense cop dramas. The super-cop-star has delivered another master piece in Raid 2.
His one liner reply, in deep tone, to the talk “Andar Ye Shastradhari Dekh Rahe Ho (Do You see these arnmed people inside): Bahar Satadhik karamchari dekh rahe ho (Do you see hundreds of govt official outside) gives a scintialliting start to the trailer.
The trailer intro marks the return of Ajay Devgn on screen as fearless IRS officer Amay Patnaik.
This is a sequel to his 2018 hit Raid. The makers Tuesday dropped its trailer, which has garnered good attention cinema lovers and Ajay fans. The trailer was released by T-Series.
Released 11 days after the teaser, Raid 2 Trailer has grabbed over 2.6mn view on You Tube in 6 hours. The film will be hitting the cinema screens on May 1 (International Labour Day).
AJAY – RITEISH FACE OFF
The 2-minute 34-second sets the tone for a brutal battle between honesty and absolute power. Ajay is on a mission again, but the challenge is bigger this time. Riteish Deshmukh plays the villain in the role of a crooked politician with no limits. The trailer shows their fierce face-off, loaded with powerful dialogues and heavy tension.
The dialogue of Ajay to Riteish’s talk - Pandav Kav se Charavyuh Rachne lage hain (When did Pandav’s start laying trap): Main Kab Kaha Main Pandav Hoon, Main to Pura MAHABHART Hoon (when did I say Iam Pandav, I am the whole Mahabharat) towards the end of trailer seems to be punchiest, giving a clap-and-cheer moment in the drama.
This isn’t a usual political thriller. There’s revenge. There’s fire. And there’s some serious drama.
Vaani Kapoor plays Ajay’s wife, while Tamannaah Bhatia raises the temperature with a sizzling dance number. The trailer has thrown a quick glimpse of Tamannaah, making the fan wait longer for the full song to be dropped.
Earlier, the team had shared a motion poster with the bold promise: “5th Raid, Rs 4200 Crores. Iss baar baazi hogi sabse badi!”

The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also helmed the original. The film is backed by Bhushan Kumar, Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. It’s produced under T-Series and Panorama Studios.
After the mega success of Raid – a real life case, in Raid 2, the makers seem to have raised the bar by delivering intense action, more emotion to make the thriller extraordinary.
