Bhubaneswar: Only few days ago, the B-town was agog with the buzz that after wrapping up the shooting way back in 2024, the makers have run to studio to shoot a club track song.
The film, which has felt the need to add an item song after full 1year, is starred by none other super-cop-star Ajay Devgn.
The Ajay Devgn starrer movie is the investigative thriller Raid 2. The film is readying to hit the silver screens in May this year. The buzz is that Raid 2 has been adding two songs.
Playing the character of fearless IRS Officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2, Ajay’s this sequel focuses on another high-stakes white-collar crime. The teaser was released last week and had received a positive response. To add more buzz, the makers have planned a special promotional song.
TAMANNAAH BHATIA ITEM GIRL OF RAID 2
As per a Peeping Moon report, Tamannaah Bhatia will feature in a sizzling dance number alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh. After her hit song “Aaj Ki Raat” in Stree 2, Tamannaah will bring her energy to Raid 2.
This song will not be part of the film’s storyline but will play in the post-credits. Surprisingly, Vijay Ganguly will once again direct the moves in this new song after the HIT track from stree 2. The team will shoot the music video at a Mumbai studio on Thursday and Friday.
TAMANNAAH AJAY STAR IN FILM RANGER
In the Raid 2 item song, Ajay and Tamannaah will not appear together. However, they are already working on another film, Ranger, directed by jagan Shakti. This project marks their second collaboration after Himmatwala (2013). The film was remake of evergreen star Jeetendra and superstar actress Sridevi’s 80’s super hit flick. However, Ajay-Tamannaah movie flopped. Himmatwala (2013). Tamannaah will join the Ranger shoot after completing this dance number.
Director Raj Kumar Gupta has promised that Raid 2 will be bigger and more intense than the first film. The sequel follows Amay Patnaik as he takes on his 75th raid, targeting Dada Bhai, played by Riteish Deshmukh. The cast includes Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Amit Sial, and Yashpal Sharma. Saurabh Shukla will reprise his role as Tauji, the Don of Sitagarh from the original film.
Writers Ritesh Shah, Raj Kumar Gupta, Karan Vyas, and Jaideep Yadav have crafted a gripping script. The film, produced by Panorama Studios and T-Series, will hit cinemas on International Labour Day and Maharashtra Day.
