Bhubaneswar: Children branded with hot tongs by mother's lover for opposing extra marital affair

Bhubaneswar, Nov 15: In a shocking incident, two children were branded with hot tongs for three days by their mother’s lover Gudu for allegedly opposing the 'extramarital affairs' of their mother in Bhubaneswar.
The incident occurred at Mahavir slum under Maitree Vihar police limits here. Both the woman and her lover have reportedly been detained by police.
Sources said, the children were allegedly tortured in front of their mother for opposing their mother’s illicit relationship in the absence of their father at home.
Being informed, Maitree Vihar police reached the spot and rescued both the children.
The police detained duo and interrogated. Following which, Gudu has confessed to his crime.
Further investigation is underway.
