Bhubaneswar, Nov 21: In a significant development regarding the Subhadra Scheme, Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister, Pravati Parida, announced that one crore women will receive the Subhadra Yojana money by December 2024.
All Anganwadi workers have been included in the list and will receive the money in this phase on November 24. More than 20 lakh beneficiaries will be benefitted in the third phase under Subhadra Yojana, Odisha's flagship programme.
Further elaborating on the progress, Pravati Parida revealed that a crucial meeting will be held on Thursday evening, focusing on the addition of 2.67 lakh eligible applicants who had previously missed out on the scheme. This meeting is set to make decisions about their addition, ensuring that no eligible woman is left behind.
By the 24th of this month, a total of 80 lakh women will receive the Subhadra funds, marking another milestone in the state government's efforts to empower women through financial assistance.
Currently, the total number of applicants stands at 1.16 crore, and with 5 lakh additional applicants seeking a single account per individual, the Deputy Chief Minister has urged that corrections be made. She explained that many applicants had linked multiple accounts to a single mobile number, which had caused discrepancies. An appeal has been made to rectify these errors to ensure that everyone gets their due benefits.
