Bhubaneswar, March 27: In an uncommon gesticulation,the Biju Janata Dal(BJD) MLAs on Thursday sanctified the Odisha Assembly with Ganga Jal(Water of the Ganga) following some odd incidents that took place inside the House a few days ago.
While, the Odisha Congress was making a violent protest against the ruling BJP at the Lower PMG ground, the BJD Legislators took to consecrate the states democratic temple with the sacred Ganga Jal in the mid-day.
Getting ready, much before the innovative protest declared against the ruling BJP,senior BJD MLAs including Arun Sahoo, Ranendra Pratap Swain, Pramila Mallik, Dibya Shankar Mishra among others held earthen pitchers and sprinkled Ganga water with mango leaves in & outside the House.
With it, they augured good times ahead, for the Odisha Assembly.
Worth mentioning, the Prime Opposition BJD considered it quite unholy to allow police into the Assembly on Wednesday who allegedly attacked the sitting Legislators.
