Bhubaneswar, Oct 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today discussed with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi over the phone regarding preparations to deal with the cyclone Dana in the state.
The Chief Minister provided a detailed update on the ongoing evacuation efforts.
He also informed about the deployment of security forces, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), to ensure the safety and security of the public.
Following the discussion, PM Modi expressed satisfaction with the preparedness to face the cyclone Dana.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with the Chief Minister. During the discussion, Shah assured full cooperation from the central government.
