In an order issued Thursday, the EC stated that all 22 polling stations (21 in Jammu and 1 in Udhampur) will now be linked to camps/zones, ensuring each zone has at least one dedicated polling station. If there are multiple stations within a zone, zonal officers will define their intra-zonal jurisdiction considering distance and accessibility for voters.

To simplify the process, the requirement for a gazetted officer's attestation on the form-M certificate has been replaced with self-attestation. However, to prevent impersonation, voters must present either their EPIC or any alternative identification documents specified by the commission at the special polling station.
The order emphasizes that the terms and conditions outlined in the scheme introduced on March 22, 2024, remain unchanged.
