Titilagarh, Feb 10: In an unfortunate incident, a man and his son from Odisha’s Titilagarh district, who were working as migrant laborers in Tamil Nadu, were electrocuted after coming in contact with an electric wire.

The deceased have been identified as Abhiram Kata (45) and his son Uttam Kata (20), hailing from Dangarpara village under Titlagarh police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district. The father-son duo was working as migrant laborers at a poultry farm in Tamil Nadu’s Sikkalur.
As per reports, the father and son were performing farm-related tasks when Abhiram accidentally touched an exposed electric wire. Seeing his father in trouble, Uttam jumped to his rescue and also came into contact with the live wire. Unfortunately, both were electrocuted and died on the spot.
Upon getting the information, local police arrived at the spot and seized the bodies. Subsequently, they were sent for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
