Jammu, January 25: In a boost to Jammu and Kashmir's rail connectivity, first trial run of Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express was successfully conducted.
The India Railways on Saturday successfully conducted the trial run of the specially designed Vande Bharat Express train following the green signal of the railway safety commission.
The train, which travelled from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) railway station to Srinagar railway station, for the first time passed through the Chenab bridge - the world's highest rail bridge, recently opened up to bridge the gap between the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine with the Kashmir valleys.
