Jhajjar (Haryana), Mar 23: In a horrific incident, at least four people including two children and a woman were killed while another sustained injuries after an explosion rocked a house in Haryana's Jhajjar district last evening.
According to the police, two children, aged around 10 years, a woman and a man died in the freak incident.
Though the exact cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained, police suspect that the blast occurred in an air conditioner compressor as it was found to be damaged condition. A forensic team has been called to collect samples from the spot, said police.
As per reports, the explosion took place at around 6:30 pm in Bahadurgarh, following which the house caught fire.
Upon getting the information, fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames. Thereafter, four dead bodies were recovered from the spot. The cops then sent them for post-mortem.
The injured person, identified as Haripal Singh, was admitted to Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Rohtak for treatment.
Further investigation in the matter is underway.
