Massive fire in slum chars 2 minors in Delhi

Delhi, April 27: In a tragic incident, at least 2 children were killed in a massive slum fire broke out in Delhi’s Rohini area on Sunday.

The fire mishap took place near the Shri Niketan Apartment in the Rohini Sector 17, said police. 

As per reports, a spark of fire broke out in the slum around the noon that spread to the shanties within no time devouring at least 800 temporary houses. As a result, a few residents including two kids sustained burn injuries.The injured ones were rushed to the hospital for resuscitation, of them two kids were declared dead.

According to the fire officer on duty, the bodies of the two victims were recovered from the spot.Further search and rescue operations are currently underway in presence of police. The cause of the fire mishap is yet to be ascertained.
