Berhampur, April 22: In a major breakthrough, the Ganjam police has successfully rescued 34 missing children, including 30 girls and 4 boys, during a special operation carried out across the district.
The operation was launched in response to a surge in missing child reports, particularly after April 15. Acting on the instructions of Superintendent of Police (SP) Shubendu Kumar Patra, officers from all police stations in the district were mobilized to trace and recover the missing minors from their respective areas.
Thanks to coordinated efforts, the police were able to rescue the children not only from within Odisha but also from locations outside the state. According to an official release from the SP's office, all the rescued children will be safely reunited with their families in the coming days.
SP Patra emphasized that such efforts will continue in the future, as part of the district police’s commitment to child safety and welfare.
