Bhubaneswar, April 22: Senior OAS officer Deba Prasad Dash has been appointed as the new Director of the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department, filling the vacancy left after Saroj Samal’s retirement on February 28, 2025.
Dash has also been promoted to the rank of Special Secretary.
Alongside his new role at I&PR, he will continue to serve as Special Secretary in the Department of Odia Language, Literature, and Culture, where he was previously Joint Secretary.
The General Administration & Public Grievance Department issued an official notification on Tuesday confirming Dash’s promotion and additional responsibilities.
