New Delhi, February 17: Gold prices retreated from their all-time high in the national capital on Monday, slipping by ₹1,200 to ₹88,200 per 10 grams.
The decline was attributed to fresh selling pressure from stockists and retailers, according to the All India Sarafa Association.
The precious metal, with 99.9% purity, had surged by ₹1,300 to reach a record ₹89,400 per 10 grams on Friday. Similarly, gold of 99.5% purity also witnessed a pullback, falling ₹1,200 to ₹87,800 per 10 grams. In the previous trading session, it had closed at ₹89,000 per 10 grams.
