Bhubaneswar, April 28: The Odisha government will eliminate illegal PDF cards issued to foreign nationals soon, said Odisha Minister for Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Krishna Chandra Patra on Monday.
Underlining the state’s food security scheme Patra said, It has come to the notice of the department that some foreign nationals have illegally obtained PDF Ration Cards using forged IDs and residential documents.
“It is a gross violation of the National and State’s Food Security Provision especially meant for the marginalized and righteous citizens.How hundreds of infiltrators including Pakistani, Bangaldesh and Myanmar could obtain the ration cards, is a matter to be probed”, said Patra.
The district administrations have been asked to look into it and cancel the illegal ration cards soon, the Minister added.
