Bhubaneswar, December 7: A hefty amount of cash has been reportedly seized in Bhubaneswar from a Mercedes Car on Saturday evening.
Four persons were detained by the Nayapalli police following seizure of the unaccounted cash, police sources said.
According to initial reports, a Mercedes Car was passing the Nayapalli road in the evening in a suspicious condition wherein four strangers were onboard.
On being informed of the high-version car with something packed inside it, police chased and intercepted it. During search, hefty amount of cash was recovered from the car. Following this, the car was seized and the youths were detained.
Counting of cash with interrogation to the accused persons, is going on in presence of police and sleuths of the CBI, sources said.
