The Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium witnessed a thrilling display of hockey as India and Germany clashed in the second match of their bilateral series. After a disappointing loss in the opener, the Men in Blue were determined to level the series, and they delivered a performance filled with grit and determination.

Despite conceding an early goal to Germany's Mazkour, India refused to back down. They created numerous scoring opportunities but were repeatedly denied by a resolute German defense. The first half ended with Germany holding a slender 1-0 lead.

However, the second half saw a resurgence from India. Captain Harmanpreet Singh stepped up, converting two penalty corners in quick succession to give India the lead. The momentum continued as India added two more goals before the end of the third quarter, seemingly sealing the victory.

But Germany refused to go down without a fight. They pulled a goal back, setting up a tense final quarter. Despite India extending their lead with two more goals from Abhishek and Sukhjeet, Germany managed to score again, making the final score 5-3 in India's favour.

The drama didn't end there. The match went into a shootout to decide the series winner. Unfortunately for India, their efforts fell short as Germany emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline in the shootout, clinching the series.
