Puri, Nov 29: During the second phase laser scanning of the ratna bhandar (treasury) of Puri Jagannath temple, as many as 12 delicate spots were scanned on Wednesday.
The 12 spots scanned today were on the north side wall of the Ratna Bhandar.
Sources said that a technical team of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) scanned one of the Ratna Bhandar’s walls on the afternoon with the digital scanner that maps the cracks and holes of the thick walls or roofs.
Earlier on Tuesday, the technical team had scanned the inner walls of the Jagannath Temple's treasury at as many as 37 selected points.
Today’s finding regarding the safety and security of the temple walls is yet to be ascertained.
