New Delhi, April 1: Oil marketing companies announced a reduction of ₹41 in the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder, effective from Tuesday, April 1, 2025. As a result, the new retail price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in New Delhi will be ₹1,762 starting today.
However, the price of domestic LPG cylinders, used for household cooking, remains unchanged in this revision.
This price cut is expected to provide some relief to businesses, particularly small enterprises like restaurants and hotels, which rely heavily on LPG for their daily operations. This follows a previous ₹7 reduction in February 2025, after a ₹62 hike in December 2024.
LPG prices are adjusted periodically based on fluctuations in global crude oil prices, which are influenced by shifting global market conditions, including the ongoing volatility in international affairs. It's also important to note that LPG prices can vary across states due to factors like local taxes and transportation costs.
While businesses across the country will benefit from the reduced prices, the impact may vary slightly from one location to another, depending on regional factors.
