New Delhi, Jan 21: The Australian government has introduced the Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early Professionals Scheme (MATES) that offers the Indian graduates and young professionals a golden opportunity to work and reside in Australia for two years.
This initiative is designed to provide hands-on experience in high-demand fields like renewable energy, mining, engineering, IT, artificial intelligence, and more.
The candidates must be under 30 years and hold a degree from an esteemed institution within the last two years. He/She achieves a minimum IELTS score of 6.
A key feature of the MATES program is that it does not require employer sponsorship; rather the candidates can explore career opportunities across various industries.
This scheme enables them to gain valuable work experience in their chosen fields. Visa holders must make their first entry into Australia within 12 months of receiving the visa and may stay for a total of 24 months from their initial entry. The visa also permits multiple entries during the two-year period.
The MATES scheme strengthens a deeper cultural and professional exchange between India and Australia.
