Sambalpur, Nov 17: In a bid to inspire the student community towards ‘Mission Startup’ and ease of entrepreneurship, Vedic International School in Odisha’s Sambalpur organized a Shark Tank in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) premises on Saturday.
As many as 12 grooming students belonging to diverse stream, pitched their self-incubated business ideas before thousands of students, scores of business experts and opinion leaders.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Director IIM, Sambalpur Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal and Director Sales & Marketing, the Prameya-News7 Group, Himanshu Hota graced the occasion and underlined the significance of entrepreneurship, as a lucrative opportunity before the students and youth.
Union Education Minister Pradhan who joined the occasion virtually said on a video message that, Odisha is a potential state having blessed with abundant mineral resources along with a rich historical background. Maritime trade of ancient Odisha had scripted a glorious history proving the state as a soil of entrepreneurs. Thus, he exhorted the students to be a part of PM Narendra Modi’s mission Startup India & Standup India.
Underlining the essence of the International Entrepreneurship Day, business leader Himanshu Hota said that, one who works industriously with commitment in order to achieve a well-dreamt goal is a successful entrepreneur.
IIM- Sambalpur Director Prof. Jaiswal during his address said, true entrepreneurship supplements national growth and development. Thus, employment after education is not only a goal before the students. Working out an entrepreneurship might be a better prospective before the igneous minds.
At the end of the session, at least eight ace entrepreneurs were felicitated with Sadhab Awards for their expertise in business.
