Chennai, March 16: Ace music director and lyricist AR Rahman has been hospitalized due to chest related ailments on Sunday.
He was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai for treatment, said sources.
According to reports, Rahman complained of an acute chest pain in the morning. As the pain did not subside despite primary care, he was rushed to the Apollo Hospital on Greams Road in Chennai, for medical interventions.
According to medical sources doctors conducted some tests, including an ECG and echocardiogram.
It’s expected that Rahman could undergo an angiogram to rule out strokes or blockade in his heart.
The hospital authorities have not yet issued any bulletin on Rahman’s health condition. However, Rahman’s family sources informally said that there is no health concern. It was one of the routine health chek up of Rahman.
He will be almost discharged from bed in the afternoon, the family members reported.
