New Delhi, March 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media on Sunday, March 16, to congratulate the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for winning the prestigious Digital Transformation Award 2025 by Central Banking, announced on March 14 in London.
In his post on X, PM Modi praised the RBI’s achievement, emphasizing the importance of innovation and efficiency in governance. He described the award as a "commendable accomplishment" that reflects the central bank’s dedication to enhancing governance through technological advancements.
“A remarkable achievement, showcasing a strong focus on innovation and efficiency in governance,” PM Modi wrote, commending the Reserve Bank of India for its efforts.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the significant role of digital innovations in strengthening India’s financial system, underscoring their positive impact on the lives of citizens. “Digital innovation continues to bolster India’s financial ecosystem, empowering countless lives,” he added.
The RBI was awarded the Digital Transformation Award 2025 by Central Banking in recognition of its groundbreaking initiatives, such as the Pravaah and Sarthi systems. The announcement was made on March 14, 2025, in London, where the RBI's advancements were acknowledged for their contributions to the digital landscape.
In a post on X, the RBI expressed pride in receiving the award, crediting its in-house developed systems, including Pravaah and Sarthi, which have been pivotal in driving digital transformation.
RBI's Sarthi system is a digital initiative aimed at streamlining the central bank's internal workflows, while Pravaah, launched in May 2024, serves as a digital platform for external users to submit regulatory applications to the RBI.
