Bhubaneswar, Jan 7: As Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar is celebrating its 65th Foundation Day, the iconic zoo marked the occasion with the inauguration of six new facilities aimed at enhancing visitor experience, conservation efforts, and research infrastructure.

Odisha's Forests, Environment, and Climate Change Minister, Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, graced the event as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the new amenities at 3 pm.
It highlighted the state’s commitment to wildlife conservation and sustainable development.
These additions aim at enhancing the infrastructure, research, and visitor experience at the Zoological Park.
The new facilities inaugurated include:
-Zoo Security Staff Residential Complex
-Zoo Library & Digital Hub
Upgraded Bear Enclosure
-Centre of Conservation -Research and Training
-Birds Quarantine Facility
-Kanjia Wetlands Discovery Trail
