Bhubaneswar, November 21: In a shocking incident from Odisha's Bolangir district, a tribal woman has accused a man of assault, caste-based abuse, and an attempt to forcibly stuff human feces in her mouth.
The incident occurred on November 16 when the woman was returning home after bathing in a village pond. The accused, identified as Abhay Bag, allegedly assaulted her, made casteist remarks, and tried to commit the heinous act, as per the woman's complaint.
According to the FIR lodged at the Bondhmunda police station, Abhay attacked the woman, hitting her chest and causing her to fall. An elderly woman reportedly intervened, rescuing the victim.
The woman also alleged that Abhay had previously caused damage to her crops by operating his truck on her farmland, leading to disputes between them.
The local tribal community has condemned the incident, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused.
Police have initiated an investigation but confirmed that the accused is absconding. Efforts are underway to apprehend him.
