Bhubaneswar, January 12: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday flagged off direct bus services from Odisha for the Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh.
The special buses meant for tourists operating under the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC), will embark on their journeys from Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur to the Maha Kumbh Mela, that’s is commencing tomorrow.
Gracing the occasion, the CM said special bus services will also continue after the Maha Kumbh Mela, ferrying Odia devotees to prominent pilgrimage centres around the country including Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura (Vrindavan), Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple, and Tirupati.
Later on special buses will run on special routes from Odisha to dedicate shrines with devotees wherein women passengers are entitled to a 50 percent discount and males will travel cost-effectively, the CM added.
