Bhubaneswar, Feb 17: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today presented Rs 2.90 lakh crore annual budget for 2025-26 financial year. The size of the previous budget for the state was Rs 2.65 lakh crore.
Majhi, who also holds the Finance portfolio, presented the annual budget in the state assembly.
While presenting the 2025-26 budget, Majhi said that Odisha government is committed for fast paced development which has been a long standing demand of people.
He announced the size of agriculture budget to be Rs 37,838 crore in the new fiscal, reflecting an increase of nearly 12% than last year.
Under the agri-budget, Rs 2020 crore has been proposed for CM KISAN yojana.
In order to provide financial assistance for cold storage units, Rs 252 crore allocation has been announced for period starting FY 2025-26 till FY 2029-30.
