Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC scripted their second home ground victory at Kalinga Stadium, by defeating East Bengal FC by 2-1 goals in the Indian Super League here on Tuesday.

Being seated in the bottom of the table East Bengal FC started with an attacking move. In the first 10 minutes EBFC created four scoring opportunities including an offside goal by their skipper Saul Crespo. The OFC Captain and goalkeeper Amrinder Singh kept his nerves cool and stood rock solid.

In a counter attack a brilliant through pass of midfielder Isak Ralte found Krishna Roy, with the speed Roy crossed past all the Bengal defenders and opened the account for the OFC in the 22nd minute.

However, EBFC bounced back in first-half extra time and scored the equaliser through a spot kick by Diamantakos. It was the handball by OFC defender Thoiba Singh which resulted in a penalty kick for EBFC.

After the change of sides, the home team changed their gear and looked more aggressive.  A long-distance free kick from Ahmed Jahouh converted a goal by Serigne Mourtada with a brilliant header in the 69th minute and OFC scripted a 2-1 victory.

The EBFC team was down by 10 players in the 75th minute as their defender Provat Lakra got a red card. Despite the attack, the home team could not score any goals.
