Bhubaneswar, April 19: The Odisha government is set to establish a massive IT park covering 1,000 hectares between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The project is expected to be one of the largest tech developments in the state's history.
Announcing the plan, Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said that the initiative is part of a broader vision to revolutionize both urban and rural connectivity in Odisha over the next five years through extensive infrastructure upgrades.
A key feature of the proposed IT park will be a state-of-the-art “Plug and Play” zone, offering ready-to-use office spaces designed to reduce setup time for companies. This model aims to attract a dynamic mix of startups, SMEs, and global tech giants seeking rapid expansion in Eastern India.
In Bhubaneswar, the built-up area alone will span around 10 lakh square meters, equipped with advanced facilities to support the government’s dual goals of employment generation and positioning the Twin City as a leading IT destination.
