Subarnapur, February 13: In an unprecedented incident, body of a Police Constable was recovered from a barrack in Odisha’s Subarnapur on Thursday.
The deceased cop has been identified as Dillip Mishra, Reserve Police.
According to official sources, the cop was deployed at Binika Papakshaya Loka Mahotsav from February 11. Meanwhile, his body was discovered in the police barrack in the morning.
Following this, the Binika police seized the body from the spot and sent for postmortem.
The cause of the cop’s death remains a mystery so far. An investigation into the matter has been initiated, said the Binika IIC.
