Bhubaneswar, April 15: The Odisha government has announced the continuation of interest-free loans for women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved to extend the scheme for the coming fiscal years.
This interest free loan facility was earlier available up to March 31, 2025. This loan facility has been extended for the financial year 2025-26 and beyond, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Under this scheme, women SHGs can avail loans of up to Rs 10 lakh without any interest. This initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs and facilitate the creation of more Lakshapati Didis.
The Chief Minister said that this move will strengthen the economic participation of women and contribute to the financial growth of both rural and urban areas in the state.
