Bhubaneswar, April 27: An extraordinary achievement by an Odia student has brought immense pride to the state. Yash Jain, a resident of Kantabanji in Bolangir district, has secured the top position in the 2024 NEET Super Speciality (SS) examination. This remarkable feat is particularly significant in this highly competitive exam.
Yash Jain, a doctor specializing in general surgery, emerged as the all-India topper, setting an exceptional standard in the NEET-SS exam.
Hailing from the small town of Kantabanji, Yash is the son of Sunil Jain. His journey in medicine has been one of dedication and hard work. He completed his MBBS from KEM Hospital in Mumbai, followed by postgraduate studies at the Government Medical College in Nagpur.
Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended heartfelt congratulations to Yash for his success in the NEET-SS exam.
The Chief Minister wrote on X, “I congratulate Yash Jain from Kantabanji in Balangir for securing the top position in the NEET-Super Specialty exam. He has made the entire state proud. Yash’s achievement will undoubtedly inspire many other students in Odisha.”
The NEET-SS is the sole entrance exam for admission to super-specialty medical courses in India, including the DM (Doctor of Medicine) and MCh (Master of Chirurgie) programs. The examination is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
