New Delhi, March 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the significance of India's diverse festivals, saying that they reflect the nation's spirit of unity. He urged citizens to continue nurturing this feeling of togetherness.
In his monthly Mann Ki Baat address, the Prime Minister pointed out that many states are observing their traditional New Year celebrations this Sunday, with more festivities set to take place in the days ahead.
"Today, the festival of Ugadi is being celebrated with enthusiasm in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Simultaneously, Gudi Padwa is being observed in Maharashtra. Our diverse country will see several other festivals in the coming days, including 'Rongali Bihu' in Assam, 'Poila Boishakh' in Bengal, and 'Navreh' in Kashmir. Moreover, between April 13th and 15th, various parts of the country will come together to joyfully celebrate these festivals," he said.
