Puri, Ap 18: The Akshay Tritiya 2025 will be observed on April 30, marking the start of the annual Chandan Yatra. On this significant occasion, the chariot-making process for the upcoming Rath Yatra will also commence.
To ensure smooth execution of the festivities, a key meeting of the Chhatisa Niyog will take place today under the leadership of the SJTA Chief Administrator. The meeting is scheduled for 5:00 pm at the Niladri Bhakta Niwas.
During this meeting, the Niti Nirghat for the Chandan Yatra will be discussed, and the proposed schedule prepared by the Niti Sub-Committee will be reviewed and approved.
Furthermore, the discussion will focus on ensuring smooth darshan for devotees during Akshay Tritiya this year. Topics such as the opening time of the Singha Dwar, Dwadasa Jatra, Nakyatra worship, the Lords' ascent on the Vimana, and the beginning of Rath construction will also be addressed.
The meeting will be chaired by Chief Administrator Arabinda Kumar Padhee, with Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain, SP Vinit Agrawal, Niyoga servitors, and other officials also present.
