Dharmendra inaugurates temporary buildings of two KVs in Balangir

Balangir, April 19: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today inaugurated the temporary buildings of two Kendriya Vidyalayas and laid the foundation stone for their permanent campuses in Titilagarh and Patnagarh, respectively.

Odisha Deputy CM KV Singh Deo, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling and Balangir MP Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo were present on the occasion.

"We have laid the foundation stones of two central schools, and given a humble push to take this aspirational district forward. The union government has sanctioned Rs 30 crores each for these two schools... These schools will have a big impact in this district,” said Pradhan. 

The Minister said Rs 20 crore has been sanctioned to Rajendra University in the district under Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA).

He said 21 PM-SHRI schools have also been given in this district, which means that the central government is spending Rs 100 crores on school education in the district.
