Mumbai, April 19: The political atmosphere in Maharashtra is abuzz with talk of a potential reconciliation between estranged cousins Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief, Raj, has hinted that their long-standing differences are "trivial" and that coming together for the welfare of the "Marathi manoos" should not be a challenge.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray stated on Saturday that he is open to setting aside minor disagreements, provided there’s no compromise on Maharashtra's interests. His remark appeared to subtly respond to Raj's recent meeting with Deputy CM and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde at his residence.
Speaking on actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar’s podcast released Saturday, Raj recalled that he had no problems working alongside Uddhav back in the days of the United Shiv Sena. "The real question is—does Uddhav want to work with me?" Raj asked, leaving the door open for a possible political patch
