New Delhi, February 9: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Monday and partake in a holy dip at the Sangam, her office confirmed.
The Maha Kumbh, which commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13), is the largest spiritual and cultural congregation in the world, drawing pilgrims from all corners of the globe. The event will run until Mahashivratri on February 26.
During her day-long visit to Prayagraj, the President will take a holy dip and offer prayers at the Sangam. She will also perform prayers and seek blessings at Akshayvat and Hanuman Mandir, along with visiting the Digital Kumbh Anubhav Centre, as per a statement from the Rashtrapati Bhavan issued on Sunday.
