Bhubaneswar, November 28: Preparations are nearing completion for the much-awaited visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is set to arrive in Bhubaneswar on Friday, November 29, for a three-day tour. According to Golak Mohapatra, Vice-President of the Odisha BJP, PM Modi is expected to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 4:20 PM on Friday. Following his arrival, he will be welcomed by party leaders, and a brief felicitation ceremony will take place near the airport at 4:30 PM. After the ceremony, he will depart for the Governor’s residence, Raj Bhawan, at 5:05 PM, where he will be greeted by the public through cultural performances and traditional music along the route.
PM Modi is also scheduled to visit the BJP state office at 6:30 PM, where he will meet with party MLAs, MPs, ministers, and core committee members. During this meeting, the Prime Minister will discuss key issues concerning the development of Odisha, including various welfare schemes and developmental projects initiated by the state government. He is expected to engage in important talks with party leaders about the state's growth and future initiatives.
After the meeting, PM Modi will have dinner with party leaders, followed by a photo session, before departing for Raj Bhawan at 8:30 PM.
This visit is particularly significant as it marks the first time a sitting Prime Minister will stay in Odisha for three days. PM Modi will attend the DG/IGP conference on November 30 and December 1, a high-level meeting involving top officials from across the country, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Intelligence Bureau officers, DGPs of various states, and heads of key security agencies such as the CRPF, RAW, NSG, and SPG.
Amit Shah will arrive in Bhubaneswar before PM Modi on Friday, ahead of the conference. The arrival of these senior leaders is expected to elevate the importance of the event, with a focus on strengthening national security and law enforcement coordination.
This visit underscores the Prime Minister's commitment to Odisha's development and the strengthening of India's security framework.
