The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 has unveiled its latest rankings, highlighting the best educational institutions across India.
The NIRF Rankings, now in their ninth edition, are a significant benchmark for assessing the performance and excellence of Indian educational institutions.
These rankings serve as a guiding framework for students, parents, and academic stakeholders in making informed decisions.
1. Continuing its legacy, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras retained its position as the top overall institution with a stellar score of 86.42. The institute also emerged as the leading engineering institution in the country, achieving a remarkable score of 89.46 in the category
2. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, maintained its distinction as the nation’s top university, securing an impressive score of 83.29.
3. Among India’s colleges, Hindu College, New Delhi, claimed the top spot with a score of 74.47, reinforcing its reputation for academic excellence.
4. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad was recognised as the premier institution for management studies, achieving a score of 83.32.
5. In the medical field, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi led the pack with an outstanding score of 94.46, establishing itself as the best institution for medical studies in India.
6. For legal studies, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, emerged as the top institution, securing a score of 83.83.
