Bhubaneswar, March 17: The 135th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, has on Monday approved 19 major projects worth ₹6,117 crore, which will create 17,286 jobs across Odisha.
The projects span 10 key sectors, including Biofuel, Biotechnology, Shipbuilding, Aluminium, Food Processing, Chemicals, Apparel, and Green Energy Equipment, and will be spread across 11 districts, promoting balanced industrial growth in the state.
In the Biofuel and Green Energy sectors, Transpacific Engineering will invest ₹900 crore in a Biocoal plant in Sambalpur, generating 630 jobs. Sai Sudha Motors will set up a ₹68.58 crore solar module manufacturing unit in Khordha, creating 350 jobs.
Hindustan Petroleum will invest ₹868 crore in a pipeline project, generating 168 jobs, while Zoho Corporation will invest ₹306.5 crore in a Data Centre in Khordha, creating 90 jobs.
The Biotechnology sector sees a major boost with SapigenBiologix investing ₹854.32 crore in a Vaccine Manufacturing Unit at Odisha Biotech Park, Khordha, creating 850 jobs. ARCL Organics will invest ₹500 crore in a Specialty Chemicals plant in Jagatsinghpur, creating 725 jobs.
The Steel and Aluminium sectors will also grow, with Nezone Steels investing ₹470 crore in Jajpur, creating 340 jobs, and CMR Aluminium setting up a ₹234.14 crore Liquid Aluminium plant in Sambalpur, creating 200 jobs.
In Shipbuilding, Chowgule Lavgan will invest ₹550 crore in a Shipbuilding Yard in Jagatsinghpur, generating 1,000 jobs. Hindustan Coca-Cola will expand its Food Processing unit in Khordha with an investment of ₹515.32 crore, creating 441 jobs. Geofast Industries will set up a ₹108 crore plant in Khordha, creating 400 jobs.
The Textile & Apparel sector continues to grow, with Shri Mahavir Ferro Alloys investing ₹115 crore in Cuttack, generating 10,000 jobs. Iron Triangle Limited will invest ₹113.5 crore in Balangir, creating 1,150 jobs.
The Plastics sector is set to grow with Sanyam Tie Up investing ₹107.5 crore in Jharsuguda, creating 175 jobs. The Tourism sector will also benefit from significant investments, including a ₹139 crore 5-star Hotel in Khordha, generating 254 jobs.
