Mumbai, April 18: Sunny Deol fans have a big reason to cheer! Just a week after the release of his action-packed film Jaat, the actor has officially announced its sequel. Taking to Instagram on Thursday morning, Deol unveiled the poster for Jaat 2. According to the announcement, director Gopichand Malineni is set to return, along with producers Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Y, and TG Vishwa Prasad. The sequel will once again be backed by the production banners Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory.
As of now, Sunny Deol is the only confirmed cast member for Jaat 2. No additional casting details have been revealed yet.
Meanwhile, Jaat, which hit theatres earlier this month, made an impressive debut, earning over ₹9.5 crore net on its opening day in India. The film also stars Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Singh, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles.
Randeep Hooda recently shared his gratitude for the overwhelming response to his performance as Ranatunga. “Still soaking in all the love coming my way for Ranatunga... Playing such a menacing character and still being embraced with so much appreciation has been truly humbling,” he wrote in a heartfelt note.
He also praised director Gopichand Malineni for his vision and thanked him for trusting him with such an intense role. Reflecting on working with Sunny Deol, he added, “Working alongside the legend @iamsunnydeol Paaji was an absolute blast—so down-to-earth, so full of fire.”
